Someone called Tony and told him that they spotted Grace flying with the wild macaws and that she had prolapsed. So, Tony went…and although it took several hours..he managed to catch her so that we could bring her in and get her help. It turned out that she wasn’t prolapsed she had papiloma….a bird form of herpes more or less. Surgery was preformed to remove the nodules but she never rallied after the surgery. She couldn’t keep anything down. We gave her days to see if she would eventually come around and unfortunately she didn’t. Grace had no fear of humans. It is thought that she was a pet…they knew she was sick and they let her go. This baby fought hard but the disease over took her body on the inside. Love you baby girl. Fly free.
